Yep, she used her Touch for messaging at home, but she's involved in too many activities away from the house where she needs to get a hold of us for rides, etc... None of these places has wifi.

I have a Galaxy Nexus (4.65) and a Galaxy Tab 2 (7") and neither are good for the car as an incar ICE replacement.
4.65 is too small and 7" is top big.

My wife is happy because she gets the HTC Droid Incredible 2 smartphone I just bought on eBay and I get her old, but trusty, dumbphone (LG VX-8300). That thing runs for a week on a single charge.

I like it but, I'd like to destroy it

I wish they'd make 6'' tablets.. you know, maximum pocketable size. I'm typing on galaxy 5 right now... and it's too small. I wouldn't go with 4'', there's really no benefit of smaller size... 5'' is quite uncomfortable as is.. I love it, but I wish it'd be 6''. 7'' are too big for even largest pockets and are not portable at all. This on he other hand is. The screen is 800x480 but it's not pixelsted or anyh8ng. Remember times when 14'' monitors where in 800x600 resolution. For 5'' it's great. Yes apple retina is betyer, but it's also pretty overkill for such a tiny screen. I don't know how people use it - i can't make out sh1t on such liliput screen. At least on 5'' you can watch movies in fine detail...
