Based on the specs these speakers should be slightly better. Bigger woofer, higher output for both woofer and sat's. Wider frequency response too. Reviews on Newegg are slightly more positive on the Polks.

I have the Polk RM650's and they are awesome. These are similar I believe...

Seems like a good deal to me. The sale prices on the individual pieces seem to be good (receiver $300, speakers: $229) buying the combo gets you another $50 off besides.

I'd been debating about the FP $1200 Klipsch deal from the other day, but the more I read about the Klipsch gallery speakers and the fact this may even be a little better receiver, I may pay 1/3 price and just grab this.

Anymore input from anyone that has had (or heard) both systems (or individual components) would be appreciated.

Edit: I wonder if the sub has LFE IN, the manual shows it [polkaudio.com], but I don't see it in the rear picture of the sub on newegg.

According to the description detail on Newegg it does.

Here's a review of the sub [bestsubwooferbrand.org], this has picture of the back that shows the LFE input and also mentioned in the write-up.

I did take a look at the picture on NewEgg, it does show the LFE input as well. However the picture is different than the one shown in the review above. But the LFE input is the right connector for the "line in" connector (zoom in). There is then an LFE setting (look at the top control knob on the NewEgg picture). So maybe Polk redesigned the sub, maybe wrong picture, but all info points to this having LFE.

Looking closer at the newegg picture on the 'Line In' the R says R/LFE IN also. Hopefully it is a separate input like the review you linked and the manual though, but either way it seems to support it.
