Home Depot is offering a combo pack that includes an 18v drill driver and an 18v impact driver with two batteries and charger for $179. This isn't the lowest price I've ever seen BUT, Ridgid tools come with a lifetime service agreement that covers everything, even the batteries! Just remember that you have to opt in for the lifetime warranty within 90 days.

Good for light use around the house, otherwise opt for something with a little more power. Wouldn't call these contractor grade, but better than hand power for sure.

No rule #1 is put price in title. Honestly if I call a store and the employees want to gobble it up that's fine. For what they pay retail employees to deal with people like us I feel they deserve it.

Most rigid 18v stuff is contractor grade. The smaller batteries are fine for someone who spends all day on a job site. Their warranty is adds great value to a contractor.

Thanks for the post, but as the less than welcoming members below have noted it looks like you missed a few points. I see the price as Regular at $179.00 /EA-Each what is the sale price?

See how easy that was SD jerks. What is this hazing the new guy? This kind of thing keeps deals from getting posted, the SD staff from generating their affiliate money and me from buying things I likely don't need. We can't have that now can we.

"Contractor Grade" is more of a marketing term.

Use code PICKUP10 to get $10 off. Or if purchasing other items and go over $200 use THDMAY20 for $20 off the purchase.

I own this set... and I own an older nicad set.
I can tell you it's well above homeowner grade. Plenty of power. Quality build. Great warranty. That said, I have a problem with li-on batteries. They want to be used at "room" temperature. AND they want to be charged at "room" temperature. Seriously, these batteries like 72 degrees - no more, no less. Run time and power are greatly diminished if they are charged or used if it's hot or cold. I think this is just a characteristic of li-on batteries. I have both sets in my service truck. And the older nicad set is always more dependably "ready" to work than the li-on set. Missouri temperature extremes take a toll on any battery's efficiency, but the li-on batteries much more so.
This is just my $0.02 which is probably worth $0.01.
