Figured I'd bump this thread since it has been put back in hot deals and is still in stock.

Now this may be a bit "tangential" to the topic of the thread, but can anyone recommend these to me (newbie going into OTA territory):
1) A good (preferrably free) software to use for "DVR" functionality - I want something that will let me schedule shows to record and will automatically bring my PC out of sleep mode a few minutes before the show starts... so it can grab the streams being broadcasted by the HDHomeRun and store them on disk. 2) A good Remote Control that can bring my PC out of sleep mode when I click the power button. As far as I know these need to have a 4-pin "special" connector that plugs into the motherboard where the one from the power supply should go, and it also has the same 4-pin connector in the card itself to plug the power supply one. It's kind of a "middle-man" for the 4-pin power connector... I've seen some options on #2 above, but they come together with a really expensive Video decoder... not sure if there's something like a standalone option with only the Remote Control for this to work. Any recommendations will be appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

If I had 2 of these, would I be able to share all 4 tuners with all my PCs running Windows 7 Media Center? Would they be smart enough to know what tuners are in use, and which are not, and allocate accordingly?
Also, will picture quality be affected by network load? Like if I'm copying a multi-gigabyte file while recording or watching something? |

Since it emulates a keyboard, it works with XBMC, and probably other DVR software. http://www.amazon.com/Windows-Con...732&sr=8-1 Last edited by timta2; 05-22-2012 at 10:49 PM.. |

Stupid question alert.
I have digital cable in my living room coming in via a cable box, but in my den I have an hdtv hooked up to the coax coming out of the wall. The tuner in the tv decodes most of the channels and I don't need to fork over an extra $12 a month for an additional cable box. If I put this in the den, I am assuming it's going to pick up all of the channels my hdtv does? |
