Ally bank?

I just used the edeposit for the first time, it was pretty clunky and wouldn't work on firefox, had to use IE
Also, note that there's a limit of 5K/day and 25K/month for edeposits

I like Ally a lot. Their interface is clunky for sure, but it works. I just scan the checks with my scanner and upload manually. However, their customer service is good and I'm definitely happy with the rates. Free checks and free ATMs are just another bonus for me. They have a mobile app in the works so when that's out, hopefully it'll make things even easier.

**I lied...the app came out a couple weeks ago. Features for it are being rolled out gradually though, so no eDeposit on it yet.

I hope it's like the Chase app with the eDeposit. It works great.

Problem is we don't really know the financial health of any bank and how much they are exposed to risky gambling ventures.

Any new reviews, opinions, thoughts on Ally? Happy? Unhappy?

Extremely happy, been with them for a little over a year. I've never had any problems, nor is there anything that I feel like they're missing. Keep in mind, I'm pretty simple -- I just have a checking account with DD and a couple savings accounts, so I'm definitely not using all of the features they offer. Their banking app works great for checking accounts and making deposits, and the couple times I have had to call, the wait has been non-existent.

I am planning to open a new CD account there. Any reviews about Ally? I already have BofA and Chase premier checking accounts, so my use for Ally is to get better interest on my savings which I am not planning to invest in somewhere else for now.

I'm still with Ally after all these years, they've always been good to me whenever I need them. I have no complaints. I've had both savings and money market account, and have a checking, they have no posed problem. Plus always nice knowing you'll get the nice 1.75 to 2.99 ATM fees reimbursed whenever you are using an ally card.

I have 2 of their No Penalty CDs and opened a 3rd this morning. I use them for my emergency fund. I've had em for a couple of months. No complaints. Web site is fine.

I researched for a long time and eventually went with Barclay simply because they have the best rate. All seem to be pretty equal otherwise.

Nothing special, just the 1% Online Savings account.
