Menards [menards.com] have 11% off everything in store.

I got my 11% off rebate from last time they had this deal going without any problems, so its a good deal if you need anything they have Smilie

"THE MORE YOU BUY, THE MORE YOU SAVE! Offer Good Saturday, May 19 Through Monday, May 28, 2012. Open 7 AM Memorial Day. *Rebate is in form of merchandise credit check. Excludes gift cards, online purchases, delivery and handling charges, all rental items and extended service agreements. Limited to stock on hand. No rain checks. First come, first served. No prior sale price adjustments. Future sale adjustments will void the 11% rebate on the items adjusted. Rebate does not extend to the special ordering of any normally stocked items. It is only 1% rebate after almost 10% tax in some states.

Just a heads up for those who shop at Menards regularly, that we keep a current thread over in the drugstore/grocery forum for all things Menards related - http://slickdeals.net/f/3140072-Menards-Deal-Thread-FAR-Rebate-and-Sale-Discussion-Thread?v=1

Yesterday, I spent about $400 in previous rebates, and I'll get back $425 or so. Got to like being able to get all the free items and then make 11% on them too. And if you're using previous Menard rebates, those are all pre-tax. So constant roll-over, without having to pay tax.

I wish I knew that the rebate checks were store credits before I took my first one to the bank trying to cash it. laugh out loud I was a menards noob.

If you drive to Alaska to buy your tools there's no sales tax there, so you'll save the whole 11%.

^ This comment makes about as much sense.

DRIVE TO ALASKA THAT IS $100 WASTE OF GAS. that's even worse than 1% rebate offer.

This is a great deal - I'm at Menards usually once per paycheck Smilie It says it in the details - but one thing to beware of is that the majority of Menard's online purchases are not eligible for rebates. I learned this the hard way during their roofing sale - it had to be purchased before a specific date and I couldn't get into the store before it closed, so I purchased online. It took a lot of pleading and truthful explanation that I didn't know to get the rebate on that order.

i for myself, personally don't care much about getting reps and i am serious. I DO give others reps for their great work everyday but i don't want reps for even a tiny thing i do good. contentment is my religion! you can keep watching my post to 500k but my reputation points won't change.

"do good to others but don't expect anything in return"

Thanks for the heads up, I was at Menards today and the cashier didn't mention a rebate. Sure enough I looked at my receipt and it's at the bottom. You can also download the rebate online at Menards.com rebate # 1402

If your state charges 10% sales tax, there is no way to avoid it unless you are tax exempt. You are saving 11% on the before tax purchase, it's inaccurate trying to suggest you are only saving 1%. If two people are spending the same amount and only one sends in the rebate they are saving 11% more than the person not sending in the rebate.

I think we should make a sales tax complaint thread to move these types of comments to. Smilie

Most states only pay about 4-6% in state sales tax the and in 10% of states you dont have to pay any state sales tax at all.

Also, after credit card cashback most slickdealers will get a few extra bucks there too.

Regardless, if you were already going to make a purchase at Menards, this deal is slick, because you get 11% back that you would not have received otherwise. TU

I also opened a commercial account so I get at least 1% rebate check at the end of the year and also some manufacturer's rebates of 2+% back as well.
Just make up a business name (I have one), have the rep scan your debit/credit cards and checks and each purchase adds up to a nice rebate sent out in February or so.woot

i think and that rebate is in form of store credit, so you have to use that rebate in their store as per every Menards rebate.
Agree with you. So it may not be used anywhere as you want.
