gonna have to toss in some thumps down.. toshiba crapvio i mean canvio is one of the worst stay away drives ever. zilch support and doa goodness has me never dealing with these even if it was thunderbolt usb6 speed. if you dont score this drive honestly youre not missing out on much anyway.

Bought one of these around xmas 2011 and at the time, no usb 3.0 host to test on. Recently found a some issues using this drive on a Dell 17R usb 3.0 and Mac Mini 2011 usb 2.0 ports. The systems will power up but would not detect this drive. Apparently this drive draws too many amps (specs say 1.0A) so that could be an issue. Don't know if Toshiba has corrected this issue.

i bought Toshiba Canvio portable USB 3.0 Hard drive at staples today. When i connect this to my computer, the hard drive doesn't appear on "My Computer". i don't see the drive at "disk manager". but i do see the drive at "device manager". Anyone had or have a same issue like me? I really need you guys help!!!
