I flashed from DD-WRT to Tomato but forgot to get the http password via puttytel. Now I cant login after the upgrade.

I also can't reach the CFE page either when I do a 30/30/30 reset. Any suggestions on how to get back into the router?

thanks

---found this in another forum to get back into the router--
Just hold the reset button for about 5 seconds, then release it. That should put all settings back to their defaults; the default credentials are root:admin.[/Q]

that did it and I thought it was much more complicated then that. Tomato rocks on this router. I have flashed a total of 4 of these and this is the first time I ran into issues.

That's the F7D7302 model which doesn't have gig ports, the F7D7301 (the original one in the thread) has gig ports

Sorry, for bumping this thread.

I bought this router recently and installed latest ddwrt 2.6 big built onto it. However, I'm unable to install transmission on it. I tried 2-3 guides so far, but no luck yet Frown

I read shibby tomato builds have BT client already installed, but i'm not sure which file I need to download from his site ? Can somebody please help ?
Also other question I had was, does shibby tomato mod have NTFS support ?

thanks! i might just buy two of these to solve my foscam dilemna

edit: one more thing, in client mode, does it allow 802.1x (WPA2-Enterprise) authentication?

thanks agian - reppin ya
Did you ever find out the answer to this? I'm considering picking one of these up to use in this same scenario: client mode with an 802.1x PEAP WiFi network. I have experience with DD-WRT on other routers, but would be happy with any custom firmware if this client mode could be achieved.

holy old thread waker upper, batman!

I don't remember properly, but I think the answer was no. I have an Asus router now - and i just create a wpa2 protected guest Wlan w.o. 802.1x authentication just for the Foscams.

I am still chasing a fix to it - but not actively; if a cheap unit comes along, i'll do it. Or eventually I'll stop being lazy and just wire the cameras in.

Just wanted to update this to mention that neither DD-WRT or Tomato will do WPA2 Enterprise with PEAP authentication when the router is used in client mode. Tomato indicates that it does WPA2 Enterprise in client mode, but it is only via RADIUS server.

With this said, I am seriously impressed with the capabilities of this router with Tomato by Toastman [linksysinfo.org]. I am running tomato-F7D3301-12875052MIPSR2Toastman-RT-Mini.bin now and am very satisfied with the available options (albeit non-working ssh into the router so far, but telnet does work). When moving from DD-WRT 18??? (maybe 18687), I had some difficulty installing any other firmware. If you have some command line competence and know of the mtd command, then this will be of use [linksysinfo.org].

I had to go back to Belkin firmware in between when switching from DD-WRT to Tomato. I prefer Shibby's Tomato builds myself. Weak point of this router is its WiFi range though. While the antennas are still internal on Belkin's current routers, the WiFi signal is stronger though.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I just tried to flash my old belkin router, and I can connect to the CFE page in Firefox and Chrome(neither of them worked obviously to flash the router), but I cannot connect to the CFE page via Internet Explorer for some odd reason. I know it has to be something really simple the I have overlooked, but I've been trying for the past few hours with no luck. Can someone please help me out with this problem? Thanks.
