Its been awhile since I did it but I believe every monitor is different. I had to hold the power and menu button on while powering up, then it has a special menu in the menu. I would google it w/ your model #

I have not checked it since 2011. It should be over 60,000 by now, still works great, no bad pixels. Model 2405FPW. Got it on release day and it was around $1200 IIRC. I remember Apple 23" Cinema displays in store were 3x the price.
