Thank god. Personally I would legalize marijuana, but hey, we can't have everything all at once.....baby steps.

Obama seems to blow hot and cold on this issue. First we weren't going to be usurping the states' authority, then the justice dept was busting more pot dispensaries... now this.

He could always pull a Chavez and nationalize the pot industry. It would help states close their budget shortfalls if he instituted a revenue sharing program as well as help the fed gov't pay a few weeks of interest payments.

although I agree with the ends I do not agree with the means. Law is law, whether you like it or not. If you want to change it, so be it, but you cannot simply ignore it, especially if your branch of government is in charge of enforcing the law. This includes subversive acts like defunding. We cannot have a POTUS that chooses which laws to obey and which to not.

He has to ... his "Justice Dept" (and I use that term loosely) needs the money to fight all the law suits being filed.

It's not really a "cut" when you don't have the money for it in the first place, now is it? Just another way for Barry to say 'see, now THIS is what happens when you make dem cutz" followed shortly after by another Mexican headless body pile story to get more morons behind the "fight."
