how easy is it to unlock from AT&T without calling them? Can we get a code on ebay?

Can we unlock this phone?

Haven't been able to order anything from ATT since they only allow 3 product per year or something. They track me by either/or both address or card but I'm not sure. I can't seem to use any prepaid cards and shopsafe doesn't work. It will say " Your card could not be authorized for payment. Please click the back button to double check the card number, security code and expiration date. (90002)".

Anyone know how to get around this ?

You cannot switch to verizon!!! THey are CDMA and this PIXI Plus is GSM which means it uses a sim card so unlocked it will work on T-mobile or ATT. It will also work on most MVNO that run on ATT as is! The best one that I know about is PURETALKUSA.COM You an but this phone go to puretalk get a sim (no charge) put it in and pay as you go! No contract no activation no taxes! Unlimited talk and text for $39.95 or you can get a plan as low as $5.00!!! I have had my daughter on this plan for 2 years now using an iphone with no data. The phone is stock ATT phone and is NOT jailbroken. Works great if want an iphone and a cheap plan with no data. Of course the internet works fine at ANY wi-fi hotspot i.e home McDonalds Starbucks etc.

Just had a chat with AT&T and they say it requires a plan because it's a smartphone..... so they will not let you use a smartphone on their pre-paid plan without having a $25 or $50 plan. It will start once you activate the account.

If you get this, unlock it and use it with some other GSM prepaid like T-Mobile, I guess you are fine.

Got one...Nice option for $20 and $5 for unlocking.

I had ordered the refurbished LG U295 but am thinking of returning it now....

I spent the last hour looking for a free way to unlock the ATT branded Palm Pixi Plus and found this. Looks like this should unlock so you can use on Tmobile, when traveling abroad, etc!
