If he took your miles and then didn't pay you that is a scam. But if he made an offer and cancelled it a few days later then that is par for the course. It has happened to me a few times from different brokers. Most offers are good only for a couple of days. I never found Shlomo dishonest. If he senses a hassle, he just won't do business, which makes sense from his point of view.
He never cancelled it. We accepted terms, he just never paid me or used the miles. He wasted my time. There was no hassle...rates just went down, and he decided to use other peoples miles instead. That would have been fine if he paid me. There is no getting around it, we had agreed to the deal, he didn't keep his end and he didn't even have the decency to say that he was breaking the deal, he just went months without anything happening. No broker should cancel a deal once they get your password.
You can still get 1.0 per mile with Target, Walmart or Amazon gift cards. I sold my SW miles for 1.1 cents a couple of months ago. I don't know about a devaluation of SW.
My recommendation is to sell them as soon as possible.
thanks, i did talk to R2C and the said it can take upto 3 mnths. So i called mileage plaus to see if they will extend, they gave me a great option, i could shop online to earn miles and if i earn any mile the expiration will extend b y 18 months.. so just purchased somehting form bestbuy.
