Here is the spec.: Model: Gateway ML3109 Hardware spec. http://support.gateway.com/s/Mobi...Rsp2.shtml NOTE: The laptop will be delivered as read-to-use condition. Only the laptop, battery, and the AC adapter are included. The battery test showed it lasts for about 2 hours. The battery life is not guaranteed due to their "unpredictable" nature. Software (MS VISTA Home Basic OS and others): http://support.gateway.com/s/Mobi...0Rsl.shtml The laptop will be restored to factory settings and tested before delivery. Photos: http://support.gateway.com/s/Mobi...0Rtc.shtml The actual unit (focused on the screen blemish): http://s963.photobucket.com/album...10/ML3109/ Now what you recommend. |

I wouldn't be able to give a valuable opinion about that particular Gateway that is being offered to you, unless I had a chance to have it in my hands, look it over and try it out. |

![]() Used laptops are an iffy proposition at best. I looked up that laptop, the specs are pretty low end and the stock RAM of 512MB is unusable. It would need to have the max of 2GB to make it usable IMO. Also the fact that it has Vista, weighs 5 lbs and has no battery life guarantee are major red flags. You're trying too hard to save a few bucks here when it could end up costing you more in hassle and parts. IMO any used laptop is a bad deal, particularly when new ones are so cheap. Set up some deal alerts and get yourself a netbook or a very cheap laptop. |
