Canceled my order of a 100 today.. Went to pick up and they are garbage. I build homes and these timbers aren't worth 10 cents. Let alone $ 3.49. First time you drill a hole there gonna split in half since everyone is full of splits and cracks.....and wear some leather gloves or you gonna have splinters till Xmas...honestly there wasn't one smooth spot on them....

Did pick up 30 bags of Scott's smartscape mulch for $2.24 a bag, by price match plus 10% with ace hardwear

Veterans - don't forget that you get a 10% discount this weekend at both Home Depot or Lowes (this is also true for Veterans Day in the fall). You just need proof of service (DD214, VA card, etc).

For active duty and military retirees - this discount is available year round. Just show your ID card at the cash register. I use mine every time I go into the store.

This 10% is stackable "in store" as well. So if you were buying Behr paint (as an example) this weekend, you would save not only the $5 off per gallon, but an additional 10% as well. Picked up 30 more. Could not resist. Ones at my HD were not warped. Very good quality. Going to build couple of raised beds.

Some timbers are really heavy and then some are really light. I guess cuz of moisture absorbed. Anybody knows which is better.

IMO the only diff is the ones on top are dry and the ones down in the pallet are wet-- They will all eventually be the weight of the dry ones--

I am talking one being 50lbs and another being 20lbs...

So are you supposed to dry them before using em.. if you just wait for them to dry out and then install.. wont the rains/elements going to get them wet out there again.. what am I missing?
