Regardless, this is a good deal IMO for a someone getting into their first dslr...the 18-55/55-250 lens combo is great to learn on and the 50 prime is perfect to explore your more creative side. Yes, the T4i is "slated" to be announced in June ..so as a newcomer to photgraphy, do you wait for the new camera in June and pay maybe $900-1000 for the kit (18-55mm) or buy this setup (which I feel is perfect for beginners) w/ 3 lenses and some goodies for $900?? I would ask them how much video they're planning on doing (spectulating on the AF in video rumor)...to me that would be the deciding factor here. TU for the find

Take the T2i for example. Still pretty expensive. Forget about winning and losing; forget about pride and pain. Let your opponent graze your skin and you smash into his flesh; let him smash into your flesh and you fracture his bones; let him fracture your bones and you take his life. Do not be concerned with escaping safely - lay your life before him.

Good deal, IMO. Ignoring speculation/rumors about the T4i, as well as the amazone double-dip promo with lenses earlier this week, I'd jump on this if I didn't already have a similar setup.
$550 T2i kit with 18-55 from Amazon (had $300+ in gift cards, which is why the wife let me get it) $50 Lowepro 160 AW and 32GB card $80 50mm 1.8 (9+ condition from B&H, found through canonpricewatch.com) $150 55-250 like new off CL Grand total: $830 out of pocket. The $70 premium on this to get the lenses new and the T3i vs. T2i kinda puts me on the fence on which is the better deal. Personally, I don't see an advantage with the T3i vs. the T2i for me, but others might. |
