13" is too small for a wok, IMHO. It will work, but you will do yourself a big favor if you can find a larger one, assuming it will fit on your stove. I guess if all you do is cook for yourself it might suffice.

These are quality hand hammered woks, but they're pricy. A good carbon steel wok is http://www.amazon.com/Joyce-Chen-...522&sr=1-2 Don't get her other carbon steel woks; they're not as thick and sturdy. This is made from heavier gauge carbon steel, and is 2mm thick opposed to the others, which are less than 2 mm. If you're going to buy carbon steel, remember that you have to season it, and you can't use soap on it. |
