I would really like to know what kind of storage container this comes with. Does it come with a plastic molded tool tray similar to the 260 piece set? OR just a plastic/cardboard delivery box?

Be cautious this may be a price drop due to the fact that Craftsman is going Chinese on us. From my understanding (and looking in the local Ace) there are still some American made tools out there but the new stuff is Chinese. Have a look below at a comparison of an American Tool and a Chinese one.

no case or box of anykind, limited size of sockets and not many 6 point. i returned mine from the last deal and bought the harbor freight set that is mostly 6 point, up to 32 mm socket size, and a molded case with removeable trays and metal latches. i'd recommend that set instead. just add a torque wrench and 1/2in breaker bar

to make this craftsman set as complete as the harbor freight set you need to spend a few hundred in sockets ect and buy a toolbox. the hf set runs about 175 ac/+tx

all that said, if you do only very basic mechanical work this set is fine, and a good price. If you work on motorcycles the hf set is a shop box in a suitcase. The ratcheting wrenches are the highlight of this set but hf, and kobalt both have better wrenches at good prices.

...and what exactly did that prove? That the Chinese one is slightly bulkier than the US one? they're the same, no big deal at all, so sick of hearing it....

lol this comes up everytime a tool deal is posted. usa vs import. craftsman tools have been produced overseas for years. as long as 30% of craftsman products are made on us soil they can stamp made in the usa on everything.

Even my Harley has mostly overseas manufactured parts in it, and you know how American Made they claim to be

These have ratcheting wrenches, too....damn.
