really tempted to pull trigger, been looking for one to go with my new widi equipped laptop. Other adapters sell for $75 plus. I just got a Foxconn htpc so seem's like overkill. But slick deal either way. TU

I have been eyeing these devices for a while. According to all the reviews that I have seen, they do work, but not necessarily too well. Would anyone please share your hands-on experience?

Just happen to buy a laptop yesterday with WiDi capability but didn't intend to use it because I thought the adapters for the TV were upwards of $80. For $35, this couldn't have come at a better time! Thanks

In for one to try it out,I have a Dell XPS 15z with i5 2410M and Centrino 6230, so I should be all good. $37.08 with shipping and tax.

One thing to note, it seems that you can only get full 1080p streaming with a Sandy Bridge laptop. First generation i3/i5/i7 CPUs appear to be limited to 720p. I bought one for my Lenovo x201t, which only has VGA output. Intel WiDi seems like a perfect solution for those laptops without HDMI.  Here's a link summarizing the required prerequisites for WiDi [intel.com]. And here's a link to the Intel Wireless Display Software for Windows 7 [intel.com]--it's a 214MB software package!
