I was looking at this fridge two months ago and at the time this was the same price as the Samsung [bestbuy.com]. The Lowes guy told us to go with the Samsung though because Samsung's are made with double condensers (as opposed to single ones from Kenmore, Maytag and Whirlpool), which means they doesn't work as hard.

Also, get your warranty from SquareTrade -- it's so much cheaper than the stores'. It was $200+ at Lowes and a similar coverage from SquareTrade was only $130.

i just bought Frigidaire instead from LOWE'S for $ 955.41= DELIVRED + ICEMAKER HOOKUP + 2 Year Additional Warranty. Came cheaper than Sears Kenmore. LOWES Memorial Day Weekend Sale.Both are good deals though.

LOWE's ext. warranty is actually CHEAPER than SquareTrade - even with 20% off.

i was shopping around at best buy and a rep told me that they will stop carrying the Samsung appliances after this year because they have been breaking more often than other brands and the time frame to get parts for them is longer than all other vendors..... i cant verify that, its just what a rep there told me.....

i worked at frys... they would give free haul away, then sell it to a company that would refurb it, making even more money off you....

the size difference isnt that much to notice..... i prefer the bottom freezer. since the refrigerator and the freezer are wider, you can fit larger things in... i deer hunt and its a lot easier to fill up the bottom with several pounds of meet.....

got this on black friday... it was much less expensive than the other side by side fridge.. OK i talk about the negatives, since its the most important part: no water lock, which can be a headache if you have little one ... the ice maker get over filled alot it seems it does not know when to stop making ice, every now and then i have push the lever up, for it to stop making ice cubes... so there is an off switch for the ice maker...secondly the ice cube come out very slow, especially if you want crushed ice, thirdly, looks cheap looking compared to some other ones....Postives: for you to judge for yourself..lol......ok... Would i recommend it ??... i put to you this way, if your on a budget and not picky then consider purchasing this fridge....(Am I completely overjoy with this fridge, No... Am I satisfied with it, yes it gets the job done )




BTW only the door are stainless...

I'm not completely sure but Samsung make Kenmore appliances and Sears repackage it and sells it as their own brand. (Since Kenmore is a Sears Brand)

Picked a floor model up from sears outlet for $600 ($682 AC delivered) will come two weeks sooner than the new one can get here. Been manually deicing my old fridge waiting for either memorial day or black friday .... then I buy one from the outlet ... facepalm
