Please read DISH IPTV Reviews: http://dishworldiptv.blogspot.com...eview.html

DISH IPTV is provided by Neulion Service http://www.neulion.com/?clients. Their servers are slow, and you will get buffering, aka service unavailable, during evenings when everyone is jumped onto dish iptv server to watch TV. Many people have subbed by contract, and are crying they made a mistake. Optimum boost will not help resolve the problem, as their servers are slowed down by high traffic. Changing their current generic IPTV box to ROKU box makes no difference to service, as the problem is their servers. They need to add or upgrade their servers. Also, not all the international channels are on IPTV, as there are on Satellite dish.None of the channels on IPTV are HD, they are all SD 480i.

Dish IPTV is now being hosted by Move Networks, neuilon is no longer involved in the service, this change is effective as of May 23. There are no more buffering issues as the service uses something called Adaptive Streaming. You need a minimum of 1mbps to have a watchable experience or as high as 4mbps to have the best experience

May be they are improving, but still way to costly than other options like reliable iptv - i am happy with their telugu channels - very rare buffering and ON demand veiwing of entertainent channels for the last 2 weeks/14 days

BEING A CURRENT CUSTOMER OF DISHWORLD USING ROKU...SERVICE IS VERY GOOD....THERE IS NO OTHER PROVIDER WHO CAN PROVIDE YOU PREMIUM INDIAN CHANNELS (STAR/ZEE/SONY)....JUST DON'T THUMBS DOWN FOR THE SAKE OF IT!!!!

I WAS A DISH CUSTOMER FOR 12 YEARS SUBSCRIBING TO THEIR B4U/ZEE/SONY/TVASIA/MAA/GEMINI/TEJA (at different times) ALL ALONG. 6 MONTHS AGO, SWITCHED TO ROKU STREAMING TAKING YUPPTV MEGA TELUGU PACK FOR $120/YEAR. I'm SO HAPPY, I REPENT BEING DISH CUSTOMER UN-NECESSARLY PAYING THOUSANDS OF DOLLERS. NO DIFFERENCE IN QUALITY AND YOU GET LOT MORE CHANNELS ON YUPPTV. BEST FOR TELUGU. NO GOOD HINDI CHANNELS YET. RELIABLEIPTV IS EQUALLY GOOD. woot

THIS IS A LEGIT site owned by DISH NETWORK!! IF not satisifed you can CALL dish cutomer service and get connected to the DISH WORLD customer service through them.!!! They also have 48 hour REWIND feature....which is similar to having a DVR Smilie

Having a Roku player, I did subscribed to DISH iptv yesterday. I bought the Hindi package ($39.99) and I must say, the quality is as good as the Dish Satellite. I did not notice any buffering delays. Also I could watch the shows 48 hrs ago.
Dish is good for any one who wants Hindi package. I know it could be expensive but its the only reliable choice.

Oh and BTW, I chatted with yupptv customer service first before taking service from them, and told them I want to try first to make sure their service works on my internet with good quality. They set me up with free 7 day trial and I am with them ever since.
You might want to do that. If it doesnt work for you, just call it off.

I dont know, I can only say what I know about DISH IPTV. Check ROKU website and you will find a few channels available for sub at a fee. I think WIllow TV is available on a ROKU. channel for some $$. THe better question is which IPTV provider has the most stable servers. You will have to find out by trial and error.
I tried many and YuppTV and ReliableIPTV are the best. You may try one month subscription of each and decide yourself. There are many free channels too. Two weeks of recorded programs (VOD) are available and always best to watch them, as you can skip commercials. Recording is done in IST, meaning you can watch tonight's programs in morning itself though VOD. You can watch on any iPad / iPhone / iTouch for free anywhere. Netflix HD streaming is just superb on Roku.
I chose 720p Roku output and set zoom1 mode on my Samsung HDTV to prevent distortion, but fill the TV. Switch to 16:9, when watching Netflix.
I preferred ethernet connection to wireless as the response (1-3 sec) is lot faster when you fast forward. I use client bridge through wireless for my computers in other room.

Unfortunately no. IPTV is best for south Indians, who do not mind skipping these Hindi channels. Not sure how good are UTV Hindi channels. I believe zee Hindi is available on yupptv.com online but not as streaming. I see many Indian IPTV channels on Roku, but only YuppTv and reliableIptv are stable, have excellent ratings and channel options. DishWorld is new one and most expensive of all. Being same cost, it would be lot better to get those Hindi channels thru dish receiver instead of streaming.

Dishtv charges $25 for two Hindi channels. Too expensive. You r right, its better to have receiver with real broadcast . Watchindia is much cheaper but not available on roku.

Does anyone know if you can do multiple simultaneous streams with one account? Kind of like how Netflix allows 2 multiple streams. If not, then it's better to go with regular satellite dish if you need to view in multiple rooms.

Yes with YuppTV. If you have two roku boxes, can use same account, but need to call customer service for Roku activation. Can simultaneously use from any iPad / iPhone or Android too. I believe, netflix permits 6 parallel streams with multiple devices.

I just started off using one of the packages from watchsuntv.com. They are indeed available in Roku. So far so good - it is still early days though. As far as I can tell, they dont have VOD but live streams both in IST and EST (most of the channels).

Good to know. What's the name of the channel? Not obvious from the list here:

Thanks for your response but I was asking about DishWorld service. Anyone have experience in trying to do multiple simultaneous streams with one account?

Watchsuntv is not part of the Roku channel Store, but you can still add it from their website on your roku with that code. It seemed to be setup in a weird way, but it works.
