*BIS* Morton 40 lb. Salt Pellets $3.25 w/store pick up ~ Sears

This may seem like a dumb question but I've got 2 40 pounds bags of this stuff down in my basement. When I bought it I was in a huge rush and thought I was buying the salt to sprinkle on the ice on my sidewalk. Would this in any way work for that purpose? Otherwise I'll just get rid of them. I usually end up paying twice this because I only see it prominently displayed at expensive places. Otherwise I forget to pick it up.

Ordered four bags. Should last me about 8 months.

That isn't some price mistake posted at Slick Deals. The deal couldn't be added to your cart for a time, but I just tried again and it is working now. It is a one day sale by Sears.

I'm still unclear on the Menards price. The price on their website is $5.49. I looked at their ads and I don't see any softener salt listed with any rebate. I was at Menards this afternoon and forgot to look at the salt.

I would much prefer to pay $3.25 rather than pay $5.49 and have to deal with a bunch of rebates that I pay 45 cents each to mail in. I do spend a fair bit at Menards, but sometimes I don't go for a month and then I have to remember I have the credit check.

it is only the "cheap" stuf, not rust remover. Judging from the bags they brought out it looked like it was a few years old. I asked for what was in the picture on the website and they said all they do is pick out the UPC code and scan it, and deliver it.

I gave it back to them for a refund

This is not the rust remover. I still took the 10 bags I ordered. One was slightly damaged, otherwise it looked like fresh stock. Really the best part of the deal was that I pulled up and they loaded it right in my car with no messing around. That alone made it a pretty slick deal! Hauling salt to my basement and bottled water to my basement are 2 of my least favorite jobs. Having it loaded in my car helped relieve a little of the pain. Thanks OP.

Because it went dead once and then came active again. Maybe it will come live again. I would check back later.

This deal has gone from working to not working to working again throughout the day. It appears at this point it is totally dead and not coming back. Sears pulled the product from the search engine on their website and it shows unavailable if you use the link the OP provided.

The product page said the special was supposed to be all day, but maybe they sold out.
