I grabbed one for myself. The promo code made a big difference.

I think I've made the right choice to jump ship into WP7. I had a Android and was tired of constantly fiddling around with custom roms and apps that I don't need. It was a huge time sink.

Have you tried the Connection Setup app in the HTC section of the marketplace? Some people in XDA have said that worked for them.

I have but it does not show StraightTalk. I tried ATT and Tracphone. Neither allow multimedia messaging.

You might want to try the Text+ app. The receiving user will get a link to the mms content, unless they're a Text+ app user. Not perfect, but that's all I've got.

The only two that are reasonable are the Samsung Focus S at $229.99 (-10% w/ coupon = $207) and the HTC Arrive at $135.99 (-10% AC = $122,) although I am not a fan of horizontal slide-out keyboards on Windows Phone.

You'll probably have to pay to get an unlock code via ebay, or some other unlock service. You can try contacting AT&T, telling them you bought it outright unsubsidized, and see if they'll give you the code, but that's usually a dead end. Even if they agree to help you unlock it, it involves you sending scan copies of the receipt and a couple weeks of processing time.

The most likely scenario of AT&T giving you the unlock code is if you got the phone through them on contract, you've been with them for several months, and you call them and tell them you're going overseas. Obviously that doesn't work for you.

When I got my Focus S from the Smoked by Windows Phone Challenge, I walked it right over to the AT&T store with the receipt to ask them for the unlock code, and they basically laughed me out of the store.

If you're not on contract with T-Mobile, you may want to consider Straight Talk wireless. You can take advantage of the AT&T network's 3G speeds on your Titan II, and you won't need to unlock. As I'm sure you know, the Titan II can only utilize 2G EDGE data speeds on T-Mobile. Straight Talk is $45/mo for unlimited talk, text, and data (actual data cap is 2.5GB/mo I believe.)
