Is anyone else having issues logging in? I tried to sign-up and it said my email is already in-use, then I tried reset my password, which worked, but now its telling me "unable to login". Am I missing something here?

This will happen if you are using the same login/email that was signed up using a different way to access the lenovo website. It's one of the worst login websites ever.

For instance, if you already signed up at lenovo.com, and then go through an affiliate, even though it goes to the SAME login page, you'll need to create another account.

So if you try to login, reset your password, and you still can't login - that's because whatever id you are logging in you registered using a different way to get to the Lenovo website.

It's driven me nuts on more than one occasion - I've now had to write down and store my different Lenovo logins (lenovo direct login, outlet, through an affiliate website, etc).

Bottom line is that if you cannot remember how you registered, you'll need to create a new registration with new email/login id.

What is an affinity site? Is it a B&N employee purchase program? Or Lenovo through B&N affiliate?

I went the corporate login using the same coupon codes, I just ordered a T420 for $760.

I think I did OK. Sure, it isnt a 1080p screen. I could have gotten the T520 w/ 1080 for another $100. I am more concerned about weight.

Yeah, I know about the June 2 Windows 8 and Ivy Bridge T430 probably coming out in 3 days.

This seems like a good deal. The T430 will be retail at $1500 for a long while before the next round of coupons from Lenovo. Also, I use Linux and Mac OSX so Win8 doesn't appeal to me.

I was seriously debating this and a tricked out W520 like the original poster. But I''ve been reading lots of horror stories trying to get the switching GPU to work under Linux.

I will also be getting the newest top-of-the line whatever Macbook 15" when they come out from work and that made my choice easier.

The T420 will be for my side consulting jobs and freelance work while the MBP15 will be for my day job. Plus, the T420 is very easy to hackintosh.

I have 16GB of RAM ordered from Amazon along wtih a Crucial m4 256 GB SSD.

Overall, they have some very good deals right now.

Damn, I was hoping on deals for their laptops that are more for gaming. I've been eyeing a Z570 on Newegg just because it might be decent for gaming and within my price range.

Gave you an upvote regardless for the awesome deals

Glad I checked the outlet pricing. Similar spec to what I ordered was $20 more for a refurb than w/ the 30% memorial coupon. If you search for anything greater than > 1366x768 resolution on the Outlet, go for new.

There are some deals on the machines if you are OK with the lower 1366x768 res.
