Picked one up. The local BB didn't have a floor model, but they had 8 or 10 of them on the floor with kind of a crude $299 price sign. Got it home and hooked up. First impressions are excellent picture, okay sound, good quality tuner (using OTA and it picks up all the stations I feel it should).

Picked one up today. Price was great. Looks larger than expected. So far, very pleased with the picture. Audio is obviously not audiophile, but actually pretty decent (better than the flat screen it replaces). Most importantly, the wife likes it ;-)

If only I hadn't have gotten that 32" Sharp from Best Buy for $249.99 just after Christmas... I'd go for this! 10" more for only $50 more! And it has component *and* composite outputs to boot!
Ah well... that's the way things go when you get a TV. I paid $400 + tax for my mom's 20" LG 4 1/2 years ago... but it's still going strong! |

Can that really be true? I would think that's a misprint. It even says, "The resolution of 1024 x 768 gives you shaper pictures and allows you to watch in 16:9 widescreen ratio". Kind of a contradiction since 1024x768 would be a 4:3 ratio. Either way, I'm late to the game. I have too many TV's anyway. |

Fret not, 42" for less than $300 is not all that uncommon. Ashley Furniture Stores had an LG for $298 - I opted for the 50" @ $444. I should have gotten the 42" because 720p doesn't look too hot on the 50". Last edited by SpyrusNViware; 05-28-2012 at 12:55 PM.. |
