Great deal. I bought it on Friday for $799 for a client as a housewarming gift. Filed through Amazon's 14 day tv price match policy. Hopefully the refund goes through smoothly.

Not saying either is necessarily better, but if IPS is important to anyone, it's guaranteed in the panasonic, & unless you're picking up the lg in store so you can check for y/w serial numbers first, you play the lg panel lottery. |

EDIT 1: After an online chat session, apparently the people who have the power to solve this are still sleeping. So he sent them an email, and I should hear back within 24 hours. Call me a noob or an idiot, I cant seem to find a way to initiate a new post. Just wanted to share however. Amazon currently has the Panasonic p60GT50 for 1999! That is the lowest it has ever been, lower than the recent Newegg price (2039) that caused them to run out of stock within 3-4 days, which is saying something for such a big ticket item. Also, folks who purchased this from Amazon recently can request the difference back.

how does this TV compare with Samsung 46" Series 6 LED Black Flat Panel HDTV - UN46ES6100 in terms of quality?. anyone has any idea?

Does anyone have any experience with the 2012 Panasonic LED line of TV's? CNET gave the DT50 2 stars but Amazon has good reviews on this model which is 2 steps down. I have been waiting years to upgrade my 32" Visio and really want to be happy with my next purchase.
