I've been enjoying mine. Paid only like $5 after tax with my $50. Traded in a Staples Mailmate that failed years ago, that Staples also gave to me for free, so it worked out.
 Good shredder. Doesn't ever overheat like my old Staples branded one constantly does (however it it quieter than the Omnitech).

I have a stack of Omnitech shredders (from another deal) that I got from a MM offer from Staples (I think around the same time as this deal was posted). That's probably why I wasn't in this thread - I was on the other. |

I was able to snag one for $14.50. The store I went to (Atascadero, CA) had 3 in stock and I wanted to grab 2. However, the douchebag sales associate gave me a story (pretty sure it's a lie unless I'm wrong) that corporate limited these clearance items for purchase to 1 per person per day. He told me to come back tomorrow if I wanted another (they'll be gone tomorrow for sure). After that, he went straight into the back (probably to call one of his buddies to come in and grab the remaining shredders).
On my way out, I saw a lady and her daughter in line with a shredder and kindly informed them of the deal I just got, letting her know that it was cheaper and better then the one she was about to purchase. All in all, it was a good day. Got me a hell of a deal on a shredder and helped someone get in on the deal as well. |
