I've never had an HDMI cable that wasn't capable of 1080p before, and I doubt this one would have an issue with it.

I gave my last one away with a TV I sold. I think it sweetened the pot just a little bit.

In for 2. I dunno if it was my work internet or the site, but I had a lot of trouble putting my order in. Eventually it accepted paypal, but probably took it out of my bank account instead of charging it. Oh well.

Thickness of the cable means almost nothing regarding its quality. To give you an example look up another constant impedance cable like coax in wikipedia [wikipedia.org]. You will see that power handling and insertion loss can fluctuate with cable thickness, but it often depends on the dielectric and conductor materials that are used rather than cable thickness.

I guess, for people like me, this is pretty nice when you have shoprunner

You make a good point, but still, saving 15 cents a cable is saving 15 cents. People always need spares, and this is a good price point, although I wish Meritline would have one of their 3 for 3 sales sometime.

FWIW, I bought the DVIGear HDMI cable from the link you posted, and it was the only cable I've ever ordered in my life that was defective. Until that happened, I strongly believed it was damn near impossible to have a defective cable.

To their credit, the company promptly sent me a replacement and made no mention of having to return the old part.

Looks like it's $1.61 now. Love what competition does to prices, Capitalism at its finest!
