This information is all terribly incorrect. 20 inch has a 1600 x 900 resolution, and the 23 inch has standard 1920x1080. Would've purchased instantly had it been 1200 vertical horizontal lines.

Edit: Looks like it's been fixed.

The 20" is 1600 x 900 not 1080p.

I have the 2311x as a cheapie secondary monitor and it's alright for most basic tasks, bright and fairly crisp at 1920x1080, jumping to 27" at 1920x1080 would be a bit much though.

That said it doesn't hold a candle to my 27" Apple Cinema display that's at 2560x1440, then again I could have bought 9 2311x's for the price of 1 ACD Stick Out Tongue

Also, only the ipad has 4:3, pretty much every other apple monitor is 16x9 Stick Out Tongue

And a note on glossy displays, I love them. People that don't own them, or own them in a crazy bright room are the only ones that complain about reflection.
I have a Hanns-G 27.5" at 1920x1200 and it's fine. Maybe not good enough for those throwing around $1k for displays, but I'd say I am pickier than average and I'm happy.

My mother was telling me that I had to go shopping with her to get a new sceen for her computer when i visit in a couple weeks. The timing works out well. The 23" will be a big upgrade from the 15" CRT monitor she is using now. She is only on the computer for an hour per week, so this is overkill. But her eyesight is getting a bit bad sometimes, so the larger screen will actually be a benefit.

Ughh dont know which one to get. I currently have a Samsung 23" LCD (almost 4 years old now) and a 21.5" LED monitor. I wanted another 23" 1080p to go with my current one.
With my school discount the 23" is $103, the 25" is $169, 21.5" is $89, and 20" is $67.... Was thinking about getting a 23" for me and a 20" for my spare PC... Or should I go with just a 25"? lol

How does a 25" look next to a 23"? I guess it wont be as bad as my setup now since the resolutions will be the same.

lol I saw the deal on slickdeals and it reminds me to call HP. One of the 23" that I bought through Staples start to have red lines if I view red background. Other than that pretty solid monitor...
