Happiness and depression are both feelings, just like joy and anger. It's not feelings that give us problems. It's what we do with them that makes the difference.

Human Scents
Animals in general avoid any contact with humans. If you can spread your own scent throughout the garden, "marking" it as your territory, this will help repel many types of animals. One way to mark your garden is to sprinkle human hair clippings throughout the garden and around its perimeter. Another way is to use strong scented soaps or perfumes. Deer and rabbits in particular react to this scent-deterrent. The strongest human scent repellent, however, is human urine. You probably won't want to sprinkle urine directly on your plants, but if you can spread it around the perimeter of the garden, it will keep most animals out. Unfortunately, this may not deter the more intelligent animals. Squirrels and raccoons, for example, will figure out that there is no human attached to the scents they pick up, and therefore ignore your territorial markings. Plants You can plan the layout of your garden to be its own deterrent. If you have a rabbit problem, plant a ring of onions, garlic, chives, lavender, thyme or marigolds around your other plants. The rabbits will smell these plants, and decide your garden doesn't appeal to them. If you have deer to worry about, try the same trick with a ring of daffodils, yarrow or sunflowers--all of which deer do not eat. Catnip is another repellent against many animals. Just be careful planting this one if you have a lot of cats in your neighborhood, or you may wind up with a new pest problem. The perimeter, not up against the house and windows ![]() No one, for lack of any better words, pisses on their own house near the windows ![]() Perimeter - get it now ![]() I found something for cats too - thin slices of lemons spread all over the mulch, not only do cats hate it - but it's not exactly healthy for them - and the lemons will disintegrate into the mulch and garden and make it better - I shall have to try this - this cat is a gonner for sure - and I'll have to have my other neighbor's who are soooooooo tired of this cat to do the same - everyone is talking about "this cat"
