Hi All

This thread is only for people who are calling India(cell phones and landlines) quite frequently.

Keku(formerly known as stanacard) is offering unlimited India calling only @14.99/30 days.(No tax)
I have been using them for quite a while now and kind of like them, specially with this offer it looks awesome.
Also, they double your amount(upto $10) when you create the account for the first time and have it credited with atleast $10.

Here is the link to their website to get more info:

If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Only for 30 days!

Other Options: (Not sure why the Wiki is hijacked for this info, as opposed to more details on the Original topic

Another option is www.voipo.com [voipo.com] (a hostgator company). Their 2 yr prepaid plan comes out to $8.xx per month (unlimited US and Canada) and you can add 1200 international minute package for $7.95. The international package includes India and LOTS of other countries. I have used them for some time now and have been happy with them. They do not have a smart phone app yet.

For people who want cheaper than Vonage: Allvoi [allvoi.com] which has unlimited world calling for $9.99 for first 3mons, after that it is $19.99 which is atleast $10 cheaper than Vonage. I was using this for more than 2years call quality is as good as Vonage....fyi i used vonage earlier
I am also using Allvoi for the past 1 year. Last month their payment gateway produced communication error and didn't take monthly payment in the middle of the night and next day my phone got disconnected and their customer service was closed. I had to wait for 5 to 6 hours to restore my service. I got pissed and complained. Now they modified their policy to charge may be a day ahead.
Another issue with Allvoi is you have to dial 11 digits (1 xxx xxx xxxx) for local calls too. But their caller id just shows 10 digits if you redial from the caller id it will fail and you have to type all 11 digits and that is a pain.

Actionvoip sill best and cheap

Phonepower.com (a voip.com company) offers international calling plans (20 hours international calling per month) for as low as $14.99 per month with 1 year pre-pay. Other payment/contract options are also available on their site. I have been with them for 4 years now and their service is very reliable. Link to international plans: http://www.phonepower.com/service...px?pid=149

I have been using www.localphone.com [localphone.com] it is 1.5c/min for mobile phones and 1.7c/min for landlines. Has smartphone app. You have to register the destination number on their website to create a local mapping . -- 2lazy4mir

Might want to pass this deal to Dell.

Good find! I just looked through it and seems legit. Added $10.. but don't see it doubling yet. Adding the app and inviting 5 ppl gives you $2 more credit.

Quality is pretty good. The only thing is you have to register every number that you want to call first on their website. They then assign a USA number corresponding to each International Number. You then call the local number and re-routes you to the Indian phone.
Quality is pretty good. For some one who has a unlimited National Calling, this is very useful.

Good deal !! Way better than Vonage.
If you will use more than 1000 mins this is good. IndiaLD is another good service, using it for almost 5+ year ( formerly freecallplanet) $9.99 for 1000 mins

I still find vonage best for calling India.. @ 32/month.. its a full fledge phone service.. there is no need to register any international numbers before calling.. and no need to take another phone service before using the phone cards.
