I'm not exactly knowledgeable when it comes to car parts, accessories, etc. So is this something that can be used in the event the car battery goes out in case you left your headlights on? Jumpstart your car....?? Will this work for just about any car? We have a 2004 Toyota Rav4 and a 2006 Honda Accord.

For a rav4 and straight 4 honda accord this is all you need. You can go the next model up, the 900 peak amps model too if you like. I have the 600amp on my 2L 140hp engine and its worked every time. Great unit if you go away on business and your car sits in 110F for 2 weeks and doesn't start when you return. I got mine for $32.50 I think. Sign up for advance emails and you'll get coupons emailed that are often 40% off with free store pick up, etc. Amazon often has similar deals for similar products. Your altenator is the part of your car that recharges your battery. I*n the event you left the lights on ect, you just need to jump start your car then let it run so the altenator can do its job. Now altenators do go bad, if this happens it will no longer recharge your battery when its running and will need to be replaced. a tender such as this is a slow charge, tender unit that will keep your battey charged in cases where you do not use the car often. example is like when a motorcycle sits all winter. |
