I have never tried to cash out FP from a B&M casino, but have been burnt from online ones in the past where you're always betting your money first. I need to take a Vegas trip anyway. May was my last month that I received free hotel offers so I need to go and heat up my card again. Might end up making the drive in 2 weeks since EDC is next week. |

Also, I do not know about the casinos in question, but at hooters, if you play video poker at the bar and bet the full $5 per hand then your beers are free and they have some very tasty beers on tap. Also it is not like at the big casinos where you wait for the drink waitress to show up every 30-60 minutes for a free drink, this is right at the bar so they just keep on pouring for you. If you can do something like that at Riveria then it would indeed be cool.

I doubt I'll be up there, unfortunately. I'm staying up at Fremont and my work has me headed to Mandalay.
Though I'll probably stop over at The Orleans. I like the craps machine there; I put in 5$ and, three drinks and an hour and a half later, I cashed out with 520$. |

Since the floor host didn't realize that it was a new account coming in, they didn't count the chips when coming in. When cashing out, and checking the amount lost, we were actually rated for 200$ in losses, when we were actually only ~50$ down. Went out, got dinner*, came back, played until rated losses were just over 300$ [it goes in 50/100$ increments, so you're best off going just over the limit. 299$ = 250$ in rebate; 301$ = 300$ rebate.] Got about 80$ in giant promo chips immediately. Didn't feel lucky, so those were banked for future use. The remaining 220$ or so MUST be picked up on two separate occasions 2weeks-6months and 3-12months from now, and the pick-up must be at least two weeks apart. If you miss a pickup time [24 hours after signup or the two aforementioneds], then you forfeit that portion. If you go on Sunday in July, you can also get a free swipe at a promo kiosk. Everybody in my group for 5$ freeplay, 5$ off food and, I have no idea why, but a little basil planter pot with expired seeds. Additionally, if anybody plans on shopping before heading to the Palms, one of the malls downtown [Fashion Show or something?] has a coupon book that gives you a free hat at sign up. EACH PERSON NEEDS THEIR OWN COUPON THOUGH. *Silverton, about 7 minutes away. 5$ senior buffets on Monday If you're signing up with an email, you get a free water bottle. For the first day, if you get 50 points on your card, free buffet! With 2 points per dollar-in at video poker(!), I got 8 free buffets for my entire party at the cost of 3$! Thursday is their special 20$ish buffet and the free buffet coupon is valid for a year, so I'm saving it for then. |

this is my experience with the palms table game promo
i lost 1k on a hand of baccarat..they gave me $300 in casino chips..i won a $300 baccarat hand, they took the play chips, and i got $300 real chips i went back 2 weeks later to claim the next $300 and the host said the 2nd rebate has nothing to do with the initial rebate and if i want the 2nd rebate i would have to show a loss of an additional 1k now thats not the way the offer reads AT ALL. it didnt make sense to me and i thought he was just trying to rip me off, i tried to get a supervisor and they all said the same thing. pretty furious and probly never going back to the palms casino. |

Like what you said, that's totally NOT what the promo reads as since it says, in 12, that 'Loss must occur within the first 24 hours of sign up' and 10 says that 'You must be a new Club Palms member'. It's either that you're eligible for up to 1000$ in rebates, in 3 instances of losses, with three independent sign ups to the rebate program, or your loss is within the first 24-hours of joining Club Palms, of which you can only do once. If anybody wants to view the exact card, here: http://imgur.com/a/IdqlH (I sort of skipped 8 and 9 since they were in reference to the slots; 8 is the same as 16, and 9 basically says that you can only participate once.) I'm planning to be there again mid-August, so I can report on what happens then. Edit: ...And shouldn't they've given you 600 in real chips? The 300promo you wagered should've been converted into normal chips, plus the 300 you won? Last edited by amc1870; 07-11-2012 at 11:34 PM.. |

I went in and checked at the player's club desk about it. They said to go to the tables and speak to the pit boss. Found a pit boss and he told me to go find the host, who just wandered off. The host was super cheerful and, after checking my card info, gave me a slip of paper that resembled a check and directed me to the cage. Got a pile of rather comically large red and greens and proceeded to play. No fuss; converted about 250$ in promo chips to 300$ real chips in about three hours of small BJ. Decided to stop for food and briefly considered seeing if I could snag a lunch comp, but with the way the pit boss was openly glaring at my take, decided against it. Did a few more hands after lunch, felt that the wind was changing, so I headed out. |

I ask because Circus Circus also gave out voucher chips as a promo, but they could only be 'lost' to the dealer. You had to win a hand (keep vouchers and winning casino chips) and lose a voucher hand just to stay even with cashable/redeemable casino chips In the SF Bay Area.

This was a few months ago so I may not be off, but I recall that when I was playing craps at Circus Circus with promo chips (it was something like pay 30$ for instructional cards plus 50$ worth of promo chips), promo chips were only lost, never "exchanged" for real chips too. Given that people have been reporting contradictory behavior about how this promo runs at the Palms makes it seem like it's largely up to the discretion of the table. |
