I am in the same boat here.The panasonic 47" led tv is for 799 at pauls tv if that interests you.Its not 3d, but I don't see myself watching 3d movies in the bedroom with those glasses on.

A couple of weeks ago, I bought a un46D6000 from amazon warehouse in "Like new" condition for $450.50... Had a few scratches and a small dent on the back so they gave me a partial refund. Ended up getting it for $380. Crazy deal, but the TV has ridiculous amounts of clouding and flashlighting. Looks amazing as long as it's not displaying really dark scenes and you turn the backlight down a bit. It's bothersome but not enough to warrant a return, especially at $380!

As for the D7000, I'm not really sure how well it performs in that regard. I thought the 3d looked horrible when I tested it at the store. Really jagged edges, but maybe that's normal for 3d tvs.

just buy one of each.
