I couldn't tell you if Daily Steals is selling fake Ergo's, but I'd kind of doubt it. What I can tell you is that the amount of counterfeit goods sold on eBay is STAGGERING! It's like a digital black market or New York City street corner. The vast majority of DVD's and Blu-Ray's sold on eBay are in fact fakes. Your chances of getting a pair of headphones, an SD memory card, or USB memory stick that isn't a fake are somewhere between slim and none. Software is another area that I have serious issues with as well. Counterfeit clothing and handbags are rampant. When it comes to car seats, eBay REFUSES to take any action to pull auctions on expired and unsafe car seats. They have also allowed the sale of new Chinese car seats that have NEVER passed FMVSS testing, and have refused to end those auctions.

Me? I don't buy much anymore from eBay these days because of all the scams, fakes, and such, and I certainly don't put the life of my child on the line for a car seat sold on eBay. I do think there is someone who is authorized to sell factory seconds by Ergo on eBay. If you're cool with them being seconds, then go for it. I doubt most people can tell or find the usually small sewing errors that makes it a factory second. It certainly doesn't render them unsafe, just not quite a pretty.
