Can anyone confirm this is dead? The cheaper price shows on the main page but i go all the way through to the place order button and it has the higher price.

I went all the way through the checkout up until clicking the final button and it still shows as full price for me.

Got email from Sears saying my order is being canceled due to the item no longer in stock for pick up. Yet when I go to my account page its listed as picked up. They also are listing a refrigerator they cancelled on me a year ago as delivered? I really hate Sears...

The "vibration testing" and any harmonic issues that obviously someone a lot smarter than you is applying isn't tightening the screw by vibrating it and turning it, that is impossible. The only way you can get it "so locked into place" like you describe is to warp the metal that the bolt is screwed into and essentially bind the screw. That doesn't happen in an engine block

Ying/yang, good/evil, loosen/tighten...

Vibration farks stuff up BOTH ways. And other factors come into play.

If the filter is hanging from the mounting point, vibration 'should' loosen it.

If the mounting point is at the bottom, and the filter sits on top of it, then vibration 'should' tighten it (gravity effect).

Directionality of the vibration affects things.

Type of vibe, Amplitude and frequency of the vibe also affect thing.

I've seen loose nuts on a section of all-thread tighten up from 5 to 70 Hz, then TIGHTEN from 70 to 90 Hz.

Harmonics and resonance.... WOW, haven't thought about those in a while... if something naturally "dislikes" 300 Hz and and also dislikes 450 Hz, all HELL breaks loose at 900 Hz.

and yeah, I'm old school, so google a "bellcore seismic" test and watch the fun ensue. Or a "shipboard shock" test (901). Or anything in the MIL-STD-810 series of tests...

Real-world testing says you're wrong. Deal with it.
