Because he didn't feel there was enough evidence to charge him with anything and he ultimately stepped down. Just because Corey felt there was evidence, doesn't mean the investigation wasn't thorough

Police allowed Zim's wife to move his vehicle before they specifically marked where it was located, or what was inside of it.

No blood was collected from the concrete. How did police verify what caused Zimmerman's injuries?

A narcotics detective conducting the initial interview of a homicide suspect is not signs of a competent investigation.

A toxicology test was not performed on Zimmerman, just Martin.

A background check was not conducted on Zim until the morning after he was arrested and released. Not SOP by any means.

Police should have interviewed ALL of the witnesses within 3-4 days of the homicide.

They took at least a month to interview Martin's girlfriend. She was the last person to speak with him while he was alive.

Police 'corrected' a long-time school teacher after she said "I heard a teenager cry for help." She was told it was Zimmerman, not Martin.

Police blindly took Zim's story "he was yelling for help." They didn't request anyone to analyze the audio.

Investigators took three-weeks to admit they missed a possible racial slur by Zim two minutes before he killed Martin.

Even if he used a racial slur (which he didn't), who cares? It's completely irrelevant to his self defense claim.

Further, I don't believe they'd have had probable cause to do a toxicology test on Zimmerman.

OK, so it just means he is imprisoned separately for his protection. It sounded like it was some kind of witness protection program equivalent for perps.

Again, how do you know this? Regardless of their specialty, a detective is a detective is a detective.

Hindsight is great isn't it. It would be lovely to interview all witnesses immediately. If only there was someone from the future to inform them of every possible witness to interview.

Not indicative of an in-thorough investigation.

Actually they took his word and the word of a witness. Analyzing the audio is worthless and won't tell anyone who was actually yelling.

And in the end, it wasn't a slur, and that was just some BS perpetrated by Crump and his "Zimmerman was a racist" team.

So what you have is them missing a drug test on Zimmerman, and not interviewing witnesses they had no knowledge of. Pretty weak IMO.
