Thread Details

Here is a list of eCustService links that I have compiled over the past year or so. These links contain print and web forms for use with the Trilegiant memberships. You can sign up for most of their trial offers for free or $1 (depending on the offer) at most offer sites that provide you with cash or something for signing up for them. I have used most of the Trilegiant trial offers numerous times and have gotten multiple free gift cards, cash bach, electronics, and coupons with every trial.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Tip 1: It is best to spread out the submission of freebies over the course of your trial period to be safe.
Tip 2: They will do just about anything to keep you as an active member meaning they will offer you gift cards, cash back, extended trial, etc. YMMV depending on the rep.
Tip 3: You should be able to get freebies for every month of your membership. I have not tried this as I have not stayed on past the extended trial.
Tip 4: In the terms of every Trilegiant program they state, "If you cancel this Agreement after your trial period, you will be refunded the current month's paid membership fee." That pretty much explains it. Wink

This thread is a fun read. Might have to try that offer, seems like a relatively risk-free $20. Any other offers to sweeten the deal?

EDIT: Went ahead and signed up. They doubled the offer to $40 cash back, with $20 CB being applied to a future purchase. Cancel within 30 days, $16.99/month after, with $1 billed today. The cancellation phone number the rep gave me was 1-877-488-9480, and the phone number that showed up on the authorization charge was 1-866-584-2461.

Here's my recent experience thus far with Great Fun and Shoppers Advantage:
  1. Ordered from TigerDirect on March 1, 2014.
  2. Saw the Great Fun $20 rebate afterward and figured what the heck. I did this 10 years ago and it worked.
  3. Called March 1, 2014, and got signed up for Great Fun and Shoppers Advantage.
  4. Charged $1 on March 5, 2014, for each trial membership.
  5. Received a welcome email on March 5, 2014, from Shoppers Advantage and nothing from Great Fun. No mention of any rebates or coupons to submit. Note: 10 years ago, Great Fun gave you all the info you needed for the rebates via email 3 days after starting your trial.
  6. Called each of them on March 14, 2014, to see what was going on. Great Fun said my email client or antivirus was blocking their emails; I use Gmail and didn't receive anything (including the Spam folder), so they were misinformed or lying. Was told I would receive something in the mail from each and it would take 7 to 15 business days (really?). Said my memberships were extended to April 14, 2014.
  7. Found rebates via Google searches. Submitted (3) $20 rebates to Great Fun and (1) $20 rebate to Shoppers Advantage on March 16, 2014, via postal mail in separate envelopes.
  8. Submitted (1) $10 gas rebate and (1) $5 gas rebate to Shoppers Advantage on March 27, 2014, via postal mail.
  9. Called March 28, 2014, to check status. Said I wanted to cancel. Was told I should receive the mailings soon and that I would receive an email from each that day.
  10. Called March 29, 2014, after receiving nothing. Cancelled both services and got confirmation numbers.
  11. Submitted (1) $40 rebate for Great Fun via link in this thread on March 29, 2014. Also submitted the same form using my Shoppers Advantage information for the heck of it.
  12. Received my membership package from Great Fun in the mail on March 29, 2014. Wow...useless coupons that only serve as advertising, and not even a mention of the mail-in rebates I was promised several times.
  13. Received email from Great Fun on March 30, 2014, saying there was a processing error and that's why my membership materials were delayed and should be arriving soon. This email indicated that my membership is still active and has been extended, even though I had called previously and gotten a confirmation number for ending the membership.
  14. Cancelled Shoppers Advantage membership via their website and received cancellation email on March 30, 2014. Cancelled Great Fun membership via their website and did not receive email confirmation (saved a screenshot to be safe).
  15. Received cancellation email from Great Fun on April 1, 2014.
  16. Received email from Shoppers Advantage on April 1, 2014, with a link to this rebate [ecustservice.com] on their website (one of the ones I had already submitted).
  17. Received email from Great Fun on April 2, 2014, indicating that my membership is now active. WTF? Registered online and cancelled the membership via their website, but didn't receive email confirmation.
  18. Received email from Great Fun on April 3, 2014, with a link to this rebate [ecustservice.com] on their website (two of the ones I had already submitted). Cancelled my membership via their website once again without email confirmation.
  19. Received cancellation email from Great Fun on April 4, 2014.
  20. Received $20 check in the mail from Great Fun on April 4, 2014. The check was issued on March 27, 2014, and had a description of "$20 PURCHASE J-D".
  21. Recieved (2) $40 Visa gift cards in the mail from Great Fun on April 7, 2014. It looks like they accepted the Shoppers Advantage membership via the Great Fun online $40 Visa gift card form! I'll have to see if both cards will activate; different card numbers but same activation code (update: both cards activated without issue).
  22. Received $20 check in the mail from Shoppers Advantage on April 7, 2014. The check was issued on March 31, 2014, and had a description of "$20 TRANSACTION".
  23. Received two letters from Great Fun in the mail on April 7, 2014, indicating that my claim was ineligible because I had already been paid. Both were for $20 claims, so it looks like I got paid for one of the three $20 Great Fun claims I had submitted at the same time on March 16, 2014.
  24. Received my membership package from Shoppers Advantage in the mail on April 11, 2014...41 days after my membership started. It had (4) $5 quarterly gas coupons with rebate codes P-483 through P-486. These are different codes from the $5 and $10 ones I submitted that I found on their website.
  25. Received a second membership package from Great Fun in the mail on April 16, 2014. This one had some car rental coupons included; nothing special, same type of coupons you can get anywhere.
  26. Received $10 check in the mail from Shoppers Advantage on April 19, 2014. The check was issued on April 11, 2014, and had a description of "$10 TANK GAS J-M".
  27. Received $5 check in the mail from Shoppers Advantage on April 19, 2014. The check was issued on April 11, 2014, and had a description of "D-$5 GAS REBATE JAN-MAR".

Total Paid: $7
Total Received: $135

Worth it! I had my doubts, but it worked.

I'll let you know if and when I actually receive anything further from these membership scams. If not, it was at least worth a try, I suppose.

In my case, I did receive the two rebates. But it took some time.

and you can cancel the membership online, which is easier than calling, Wink

Thanks for the tip on cancelling online. I just did this for both accounts to be safe, especially after receiving an email from Great Fun today that indicates my membership is still active.

So I got this Great Fun thing after seeing an ad after using Ticket Master. The rebate form that I'm filling out has two rebates (each for $50). The guy on the phone when I signed up spoke way too quickly and I'm not 100% sure I heard him correctly. So I just want to verify here: One form is for the TicketMaster purchase that I already made, and the other form is for a future purchase? And if I made no other TM purchases, then the second form is just something that I should ignore?

I've also been waiting for them to mail me materials (that I hoped would clarify the above question), but a week after signing up, I've only received communication via e-mail... Hmm...

Got my $40 Gift card in 10days.

Tried with a new CC# and apt # but got the message

Are you trying to redeem an offer that was not sent to you.
Please press the BACK button and check to make sure you have provide correct information for all required fields.

The same goes for trying the Shoppers advantage Member number on the GF Visa Rebate.

Could it be IP address locked?

I found this article and wondering if it's safe to do the offers for checks. Maybe we should stick to the gift card ones?

The article is a scam itself. At the time of its posting: updated 1/17/2007 1:27:28 PM ET I did tons of those checks. They all were legit and cleared. Unfortunately Trilegiant has not sent me any more since that.

Is this thing still going on? I did these a LONG time ago haha. But now I see there is a $40 VISA card up? Is this still working?

Can someone give me the rundown on these? Which are worth doing? which are people receiving? Are they still $1 Trials, etc. ?

Also, if i signed up for greatfun like 4 years ago, will I still be eligible for the 40 Card?
