Why did someone thumbs down this price? This is the latest and greatest 2012 Flagship TV from Panasonic and the cheapest you can find is $2500. At $2000, with no tax, no recycle fee and free shipping, this is a great price. I'm not sure if Amazon will require white glove delivery which usually cost an extra $99. The EPP price on this is $2250 can some Panasonic employee confirm the new price becaue it may have gone down too?
And yes it is worth more than $500 if you want the best TV of the year. This won the Annual HDTV Shootout recently done by Value Electronics and CNET editors were there. Winning over the Sharp Elite in most categories and only lost by a hair in contrast and black level. It handily beats the Elite though in price. I wish they have a 50" available in the US. That would probably have saved me another $500 from the 55"

I refuse to pay big bucks for the best. 90% performance at a reasonable price is a SD! The $450 LG 50PA4500 at Frys fits this bill. The in-room picture is very good once properly calibrated. Put the $ saved in the bank to buy another "value" HDTV in five years, which will definitely outperform this Panasonic.
Never pay top $ for high end electronics because there will always be better/cheaper stuffs just around the corner.
