This is an awesome camera for the adventurous type. I have a lower model and love it. When the lens gets dirty/dusty, just rinse it under a faucet and it's good to go.

weird it's micro sd since the camera use a plain sd card.

edit: doing a search on slickdeals for "8010" and "stylus tough" brings up a decent amount of past deals on this exact camera. This seems to be the lowest price but not really by much (others were around $130) although having this also come with a 16GB microSD card is a nice gift (an $11 item according to what they charge for the card).

edit 2: Does anyone happen to have that exact model of microSD card and can give some benchmarks on it? I see so many threads about class 4 vs class 10 and some people will say that class 4 is better for some applications because the random 4k read/write is faster than class 10 but class 10 is better because the sustained read/write is faster.

edit 3: I'm also hoping there are some coupon codes to use to make this even cheaper. Anyone?

edit 4: so many edits. I know I missed the deal, but how does this compare to the Canon Powershot D10 that was front page at $150?

Crazy? I own one, therefore, I knew what I was talking about. Not only can one rinse it under a faucet, one can also let it swim in a bathtub while taking a bath, much like a fish but without fins. Try that with a normal camera.

Also, one can drop it once in a while too, but not from over 5ft, to be safe. Frankly, all cameras should be like that, instead of being so delicate. With my other cameras, I'd have to clean 'em so carefully, with Q-tips, cotton swabs, sprays, etc. With this camera, I'd wash it like a facial towel.

I don't; just saying to make a statement that one can do that should one choose. So, instead of having a rubber duckie in a tub, one can have this. AND IT'S A CAMERA!

I think all electronics these days should be waterproof like this. Or at least Cell Phones, Cameras, and portable radios (only to have the option to be out in the heavy rain).

Do you have the TG 310? If so, I think it has much less shutter lag than the posted model.

No, I have a Tough 3000. The IQ is very good and there's virtually no shutter lag as far as I can tell. I used to have a camera (forgot the model) that whenever I pressed the shutter button, by the time it actually snapped a picture, I could have eaten a lunch and dinner already.

Thanks for posting this I just picked it up! Needed something for playing around at the pool.

now it's a free 8gb standard SD card instead of 16gb microSD. Just a heads up
