Cool, it skips half of s4!

There are 2 bluray box sets on amazon. can someone tell me which to buy? Which one is better and why. i will wait for response for before purchase.

This is the first complete season release of BSG. This includes all the seasons as well as the features some of movies. Notably this was released prior to "The Plan".

The second complete season release of BSG includes everything this one does as well as "The Plan". And of course the packaging is a bit different.

No it doesn't. It's got the Complete series -- everything except The Plan which is included in the Non Cylon head boxset and the second second of webisodes (Faces of the Enemy) which aren't included in any of the releases.
This set includes the Miniseries, all 4 seasons, both version of Razor, plus the 1st Webisodes "The Resistance"

Depends on if you you want the Cylon Head. The only content differences is the packaging and the other set includes the Sequel Movie "The Plan" which many people disliked to begin with.
many people hate the Cylon packaging though I'm not really a big fan of the foldout Digipak style. The second boxset is literally the same 4 Individual season set and a standalone The Plan
inside a decent slipcover. That set has been as low as $95. The original Cylon Head pack has been to around this price a couple times.

The cardboard holders inside the CylonHead are awful and there was an exchange program for a different style holder for awhile though the last time this set was on sale many people reported that
the program was long dead.

Many people have both the individual Season sets for less than $18ea and The Plan for $7-10 and made there own Complete Collection for a little cheaper

The current UK Complete Bluray has the exact same contents as the Cylon Head (everything except for The Plan). It has 8 real multidisc Amaray cases with a different outer slipbox
and a nice Episode Guide. Personally I think this is the best packaging and it has been available for for as little as $70USD shipped during the last Holiday season. There was a 1st UK
release that came in a large Collectible Tin that has long been discontinued.

If you read the reviews beware that the UK DVD sets are missing a lot of material that the Bluray contain, but like Amazon.com they lump all reviews into one pile leading to a lot of confusion.
Again the UK Complete Bluray set has EVERYTHING the US sets have except The Plan.

The UK Bluray are completely region Free, contains no 50i material, and everything including the extras plays on US equipment without a problem.

Second Release BSG Complete Series Bluray [amazon.com]

I watched The Plan, but it didn't add anything to the story for me. I did like Razor, though, and I don't see it listed (else I am bleary-eyed from all the text LOL).

packaging is huge and bulky but the little Cylon is kinda cool. Many of us requested the new packaging from WB to replace the big bulky head as it was very streamline. Cost wise this is the cheapest i think you will find. The UK edition is a little cheaper if you dont mind UK editions. I have many of them as they beat US version in price quite often

The other set has better packaging, no cylon toy, and includes"The Plan". I've seen it go as low as $75 so if you just want the blurays I would suggest holding out for a deal on the other version. If you really want the collectible cylon toy, this is a great deal for this set.

I bought all of these on DVD as they came out. Yes, I spent more money, but I've also been able to watch them several times instead of waiting. I'm even keeping my separate Razor (which I bought at BB and has the extras disc) despite its inclusion in 4.0 or 4.5. I'm not at home so I can't go check the shelf to be sure.

I have a few of the Cylon figures that I've purchased separately - they're kind of stiff at first, but be gentle when moving them and they're nicely poseable.

Finally, as a whole, "The Plan" blows. That said, the visuals prior to/during the attack on the colonies are cool, but they could have stopped there. After that, the whole thing practically went "clip show" and has the effect of negating much of the humans' struggle in seasons 1 and 2. There is a reason you can find this in the $5 bin without a lot of effort.

Does Tricia Helfer come as the Cylon collectible? If so, I'm in for 10!
