If I don't need this better than straight talk?

This deal beat VMs prepaid plan. I'm thinking of getting the HTC evo v 4g but then my monthly bill would get bumped to $35 from my current $25. So if I were to do that, I'd pay $5 for a better phone range and better service. I get shit data speeds where I live. Like 128 or less kbps.....3g my ass.

But for now I'll keep motor triumph w/$25 plan.

They throttle speeds to something like less than 200kbps. Hence why it's $20 more per month JUST for "4G" speeds on T-Mobile, which is essentially exactly the same, but not throttled.

Go ahead and search YouTube and a couple different mobile forums to see the many complaints of how slow it is.

Not worth it. StraightTalk doesn't throttle you at least.

Oh...and this is coming from the guy using T-Mobile's $30 5GB 4G plan, so not trying to be biased...just letting you know that I've looked into all these plans, and this is not worth the $5 savings, because of how slow it is.

If you don't have gsm coverage where you live, there is always Page Plus. I use them & they piggy back off verizon towers. I only pay around $30 & get 1200 mins 100 mb data & 3k texts,

Deceptive on their part, iirc that is slower than most 2G service.

Simple Mobile uses the T-Mobile network, so it's as good as T-mobile in your area.

I've never had a problem with it or the speeds when using unlocked T-Mobile phones which use the right frequencies for the faster T-Mobile speeds.

Friends who need the Verizon network in their remote area went with PagePlus, but they had to have former Verizon phones.

I used to have this but the download speed was really annoying. For about $7 more per month, I get actual 3g speeds and higher. Average down on ST is 3Mbps and 0.7Mbps up. I think it is worth straight talk, the download speed on SIMPLE is really deplorable. It really does cap out at 119kbps, really slow. The only warning with ST, try not to go overboard, once you use about 2GB in 1 month, they start calling you and threatening to cancel your service, so that is something to be aware of.

BTW, you can also buy one of their long term plans on ST and save even more, I actually bought the 6 month one to start of with and so far it's pretty good.
