P&G Thank You Mom rebate

Does anyone have any more information about this rebate? It is a $10 prepaid Visa wyb $40 in participating P&G products. Must be all on one register receipt. Purchases must be made by 6/30.


This [forthoodsavers.com] is the most info I've found on it (credit to FHS for most of what I'm posting here), along with various eBay auctions for the rebate forms. They give this as a list of participating items:

Align, always, aussie, Bounce, bounty, braun, camay, cascade, charmin, cheer, clairol, clearblue easy, cover girl, crest, dawn, downy, deft, duracell, era, febreze, fixodent, gain, gillette, gleem, glide, head & shoulders, herbal essences, hydrience, lams, lvory, joy, luvs, metamucil, mr clean, natural instincts, nice & easy, olay, old spice, oral b, pampers, pantene, pepto bismol, prilosec OTC, puffs, pur, safeguard, scope, secret, swiffer, tampax, tide, vicks.

People have mostly reported finding these rebate forms in HEB stores, which are in Texas only. Of course my HEB doesn't have any! I found people on other forums saying that P&G's customer service line confirmed that you can do this with a receipt from other stores, including CVS. This is a great stack on this week's $10 P&G ECB deal & free Charmin deal at CVS this week.
You can apparently send the following in on a 3x5 index card:
- Name, address, phone number
-Original register receipt with all products adding up to the $40 circled.

Gillette products are on the list, but Venus is not listed specifically. The Venus razors are part of the Gillette line, though (as Gillette Venus). Anyone have any idea? I've contacted P&G online, but I can't call. The CS number is 1-855-593-8973.

I'd call the customer service number. The only thing I'm seeing online is for the $50 promo and the only forms I've seen are in store. Did see this posted in another forum:

I just called and was told that the participating stores are "smaller grocery stores." I listed off stores such as RA, CVS, Walgreen, and Target and they said those are not valid for this promotion. It looks like you will need to call to confirm the details.

That's strange because I called and I was told RA, CVS and such where participating in this offer. The forms can be found on ebay.

I had two reps give me completely different answers to my questions about another rebate so it sounds like they're not all on the same page.

This happens often when making calls to the companies for rebates. I have had this happen to me so many times. And one service rep may not document your previous call. It can be frustrating!

Did anyone use coupons, had low OOP and still got the rebate?

Is it still working? Looks like a scam to me.

Did anyone find out if this is good at CVS?

So..the rebate doesn't require us to send in the UPC labels...anyone see the flaw in this?

Nope. Not any more at least. Sounds like some people who submitted it early got the rebate approved. I submitted mine towards the end of the purchase period & just got it back today - denied.
