Xbox 360 4GB Kinect Tiger Woods Bundle $249.96 plus tax with free in store pickup at Walmart.

In some thread, I read that video games are in the top of list of items which are stolen and returned to stores for gift cards (someone also mentioned that amazon wont accept the game for trading if it sealed fearing that it might be stolen)..

As far as my case is concerned, this is what happened

Walmart - Receipt ?
I - Dont have it?
Walmart- sorry, cant do it
I - Wait, I bought it online and so I may have an order #..Here is it ..
Walmart - Sir, you bought it as a bundle.
(Calls the Manager)
Manager - Sir, We can only return this as a bundle..
I - Ok..let me get the bundle then..

Thats the story..I am planning to buy another bundle (this time with xbox live card and a game for $219). I have had experience in the past that if you buy bundle in which you select the game yourself, you can print a return receipt and legally return the items. If i am able to return the game and live card (they sell for $80), I could have the xbox for $140 + Tax..

Will keep you posted..

in my experience,best buy doesn't return/exchange without a receipt, no exceptions. may have luck at target or others on at least an exchange for another game.

Can these bundles be purchased in-store even though the Wal-Mart online website says they're not available there?

only the prepackaged bundles that all come in one box, like Tiger Woods, can be bought in store if stocked. the pick a console, pick a game, etc. bundles are not matched/sold instore in my experience. have been told those are online only.

fyi, subscription/gift cards like xbox live are not returnable.

also, when you buy the bundles where u select extra items vs when it comes pre-packaged, although you are "allowed" to return the individual items, it will not be for the "retail" price, it will be for a pro-rated amount as determined by wal-mart, however this amount should be listed on either your order form or the packing list.

I bought this and went to Walmart with just the Tiger Woods game since it comes in sealed retail packaging. I mentioned I wanted to return the game. I was told they would have to ask the manager and when they came back they told me they could only exchange it for a different game.

I accepted and got Dance Central 2, which was $10 cheaper than Tiger Woods so they gave me a $10 gift card.

Worked out nicely!
I guess it just depends YMMV.

Or you could not be a douche and just accept the deal as advertised and keep what's included.

Is your moral code shifted more by the post that was meant to harm someone or buying and returning a game that a company will not lose profit for?
As you might have inferred I don't mind posting mildly of topic or/and returning a game that i don't want to save me money at a lost to no one.

I decided not to reply to his (evolved) post as it was not worth it. I have a name for these people "Desktop Tigers" and there is millions of those all around the world.

I am a little surprised this did not sell out given it is not a terrible price for just the 4gb kinect, forget the golf game. Setup windows media extender and was pleasantly surprised. So much I was thinking of picking up another bundle and returning the game again and selling kinect to have a cheap 4gb Xbox for another room. That gets me another controller for the main room. I already have an WM remote from years ago that came with pc that will work in other room.

It will be interesting to see what Walmart does. Since it was available before the ad started at the same price, it may not go down. And no one else seems to carry it so it may just stay there until oos.

Who knows. Maybe Tiger will win the US Open this weekend and these will fly off the shelf. Interesting timing on the sale ad with the open.
