Vegas Hotel for 1 night (during first week of July) - Need Suggestions!!
Hey all,
I know you're probably sick of replying to Vegas topics because they come up so much - I did a search and read through a bunch of older topics, but I couldn't really find anything with information that relates to my scenario:
I'll be with my parents and we're looking to stay in Vegas one night during a road trip. We'll be driving from about 5-6 hours away, so we'll have part of the afternoon, but mostly have the evening/night time to see Vegas. We'll be leaving the next day after checkout.
We honestly don't drink and won't be gambling much at all, but would love to do sightseeing - i.e. the mini New York-New York, the mini Eiffel tower, Treasure Island, Billagio Water Fountains, etc. Not sure what else there is to see there - hadn't been there for many, many years! Any suggestions?
What hotel would you guys recommend there that's on the cheap side (i.e. less than $50 per night)? We're honestly not going to be in our hotel much at all. Do you know of any of these cheap rooms that include free buffets or free breakfasts?
I'm not sure if staying "on the strip" will be pratical or a good idea for us, so I'm open to all hotels - but since the majority of time will be walking up and down the strip - somewhere not too far away would be preferred.
Thanks for any help in advance from Vegas goers,
~ Im2bz2p

,) i'd avoid imperial palace casino is dingy but interesting dealatainers. you should be able to grab lots of standard rooms on the strip for under $50 - ballys, harrahs, excalibur, maybe tropicana. Planet hollywood towers (larger suite type) are set back off strip but you might be able to get a 1 night deal on them.
