So you can get 5% unlimited CB on whatever category you choose or is there a max limit? I cannot seem to find that information.

You can't really choose WHAT YOU WANT. They have Categorized the categories. E.g. There are 3 categories that fall under 2%. You are restricted to use only those 3 to use 2%. Similarly for 5% one. Groceries are in 2% bucket. You can't choose grocery stores as 5%. No Thankyou. Chase Freedom FTW.

unless they keep the categories the same, i don't know how much different this is than the freedom card.
"Cardmember must enroll each quarter into categories of their choice, or all net purchases will earn no more than 1% cash back. Categories subject to change quarterly. U.S. Bank cannot control how merchants choose to classify their business (purchase categories) and reserves the right to determine which purchases qualify. no one actually has the actual list of categories this quarter?
it seems very risk to take this card purely based on the "example" categories available, since most of us do most of our spending in specific categories. i.e. a frequent traveler is planning on applying to get 5% on hotels and airfare, but if that category comes around only 1 quarter it's not too useful... |

another stupid question-- I have historically never used a "categories" card, because I hate trying to remember which card has what categories as well as trying to figure out what category each location is.
i.e. I eat lunch at a deli, is it a fast food, restaurant, or grocery store? How do I even know AFTER I've made the charge, the transactions never even have the labels... |
