Does anyone know if "Rentals" category falls in 5% or 2% or neither?

Does anyone know whether this card has no foreign transaction fees when you use your card on purchases made outside the United States?

I have a Chase Sapphire Preferred card, which has no foreign transaction fees.

Where did you find this info? I don't see anything about points, just cash back.

I am Totally Taken by this offer .. i need to see some solid examples or cust serv rep " quotations / conversations perhaps " this cannot be so easy... in a way this card is Ready to be Abused if once qualifies and gets approved.... heck il take all the million points cash em from chase and citi and junk the cards .. and abuse this one...

especially for business customers like us we KNOW what Category * expenses we have coming up.. are you telling me this card is Next for Abuse on cash back ?

do we know if we have to keep changing categories every quarter or can we keep them SET on one ? or two things ? between gas for 4 cars , bill pay for the entire office expense and a hefty chunk of donation every year... this would earn me couple of grand in just Rewards.. i really doubt it would be that easy....

I have the Costco AMEX and the Chase Freedom VISA. Its worked out great for me and I highly recommend it. The categories are different a lot, every place doesn't accept amex, and i love costco. A combo of this us bank card and amex would probably work out great too. I do like the redemption availability for chase freedom better than the once a year for costco amex.

Same here and amen on monthly redemption of freedom vs Costco Amex!! I find myself using freedom more for 1% cash back for this reason

My credit score is right under 800 but US Bank denied my application within the year, I have about 18 credit cards which I think is the reason. Also, never had any relationship with US Bank in the past. Couldn't resist applying for this one, no instant decision, I expect a denial again.

anyone know if DELL would fall under any of these categories?

Omg this explains SO much. My friends and I were traveling across various supermarkets, CVS, 7/11 and couldnt find alcohol anywhere!

I like Amex Preferred Blue, 6% on groceries, and in grocery stores, we can purchase gift cards for many other stores. It is a bit painful, but if you are not an instant shopper and you buy things when you need, you can arrange to get your gift cards first from grocery stores. Chase Freedom, regular BofA visa, Discover, and regular Citi also comes handy in situations with their 5% and some other promotions. What I love about this new US Bank card is that you can plan and choose (from only couple of months before) and get 5% on your travel (Air and Hotel), not that you are limited to the quarter that Discover or Citi offers that. Only two things are missing here, one is the 5% quarterly that Citi has had last couple of years on Health, Dental, Fitness Clubs, Prescription purchases. And the other one is the 5% on Amazon which Freedom had recently. I wish these were also among the US Bank choices. But overall great card. Understand it doesn't come with initial big sign-in bonus. As for travel, still some limited gift cards are sold in grocery stores for airlines and hotels too. Well, no deal can beat Amex Preferred Blue in absolute terms but many come close
