So had line techs/with bucket trucks out yesterday, actually they were every where around my small town. About 8:00pm a tech came in the house checked the levels and said all is fixed.
Yippie!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guess what.......... Still dropping connection every few minutes. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!! I got my final bill from ATT , The dsl is cancelled but I hooked it up just now and its still working. Not sure how long it will last but maybe it will work til charter gets there shit straight. I may just go ahead and call att and tell them it is still working and to just keep billing me

Vague questions receive vague answers . . . . . .

Right now I am connected to dsl 1.5 down. I went with charter for the 30 down. I just dont think ATT can deliver those speeds. ATT can not upgrade me to UVerse without like 250 up front and that is for 6mb down. Maybe I just need to call and have a chat with ATT and see what I can actually get. I will give it a few more days and see if anything changes.

Had line techs out on Tuesday and Wednesday. Was out late after work yesterday so I didn't even touch a computer when I got in, just went to bed. Im off work today and have been on the computer most of the day. No dropped connections from 9:00 AM till now. (fingers crossed)

Did you make a note of the modem signals when it was dropping? It would be interesting to see if you see any change. My fingers are also crossed for you... I went thru something similar with Comcast but not nearly as bad. I got comparisons coming out my ears and she never can hit the pause
If only Morrissey weren't so Morrissey-esque she might overlook all my flaws So lighten up Morrissey |

Well that was until this morning. Down AGAIN!!!! Supposedly there is a broken port on a different tap and the line techs are supposed to be back again this evening. |

So the line tech came out yesterday evening again. He was here for a couple hours, came inside checked the levels, put new taps on several poles he said. He seemed to be more knowledgeable than any of the other techs that had been before.
So far no problems. But he did say, that since charter took over from windjammer its been nothing but problems. Says for about a 100 mile radius everything needs updated. He also said someone should have told me that before having it installed and that he would have NOT had charter installed. To little to late. The funny part of all of this is I got a letter from a Matt Favre (VP & GM) this morning, which was dated July 12 2012. It said "I have been reassured by my team that your service issues have been resolved. Thing is the line tech did not fix the problem until late in the evening on the 13th. Not sure where he is getting his info from but is BS. |
