The constitutions of most of our States and of the United States assert, that all power is inherent in the people; that they may exercise it by themselves, in all cases to which they think themselves competent, or they may act by representatives, freely and equally chosen; that it is their right and duty to be at all times armed; that they are entitled to freedom of person, freedom of religion, freedom of property, and freedom of the press. -Thomas Jefferson, June 5, 1824

You said it hurts. Is it swollen, excessive redness? Petechiae? If so, then maybe you have cause to worry.
As for rotator cuff injury part, does the pain get worse when you raise the arm above the shoulder? With your arms to your side and elbow flexed 90 degrees, can you rotate your arms outward against resistance without any pain? If there's pain, go to a doc and get some xrays and checked out. |

Pain gets worse when raising my arm over my shoulder. Surprisingly when I play hockey it doesn't bother me at all. The next day however it's rather painful. And it does hurt to lift weights. |

Sounds like you might just be stressing the muscles a bit too much. And perhaps have gotten a microtear or something.
Best advise would be to rest the arm for an extended period of time. Doesn't sound too much like it's a rotator cuff tear. But muscle soreness/microtears can take a while to heal, so imo I'd rest from any activity for like two weeks or so and see if it still hurts as much. |
