2012 Steam Summer Sale Wish List / Predictions

I have no idea whether or not it's true, but if it will make you feel better: it isn't true.

I know last year it was running around July 4th I am pretty sure....I only remember because I was on vacation but had to borrow a computer every afternoon to see if there is something I wanted to buy.

Steam needs to get going on the Summer Sale no later than 7/12/12, even if they start 7/5, Amazon has a head start on them.

I really have to give Amazon some credit for PC downloadable sales starting Holiday season 2011 that I realized that Amazon was in it to sell, sell, sell.

Competition is a good thing for consumers. I hope that Steam is paying attention. I think it is interesting that most people want to know if a game activates on Steam when any other place has a sale on a game they want. Steam is great to have as a game manager as it updates and such and allows for community/friends. I would think that Steam is taking a hit any time people buy a game from Amazon or GOG or whoever and then activates it on Steam.

In any event, COME ON Steam. Get the sale on and show us that we want to spend money.

I always check to make sure a game activates on Steam. I hate having multiple accounts everywhere and I refuse to use EA shitty Origin service, even if they have their games exclusive to it. I've been using Steam for close to a decade now and the only other digital distributor I buy from is GOG (and the occasional Amazon Deal that activates on steam). And with the improved updates, Steam basically made other gaming services like Xfire obsolete for me.

Yea, i tend to always puta game on Steam if possible, and this has led to me not being able to locate quite a few intalled games as i have grown used to them all being in one place I have also refused to even install Origin because of their TOS that you had to agree to, although it may have changed since I first read about it. I've had to avoid BF3 this whole time, which from what i've heard about their private/community run servers, may actually be a good thing anyway. I've got plenty of other games to hold my attention before i let them invade my privacy for another.

Amazon has impressed me as well with their aggressiveness! GOG is alway a great company to support though, so if i want something they ahve, and their price is competitive, i'm buying from them

If i didn't have to use Origin to play BF3 I wouldn't have Origin on my computer right now

read on the official forums that they accidentally a thing which said there would be "flash deals" more than likely similar to what they did with TF2 during Halloween of '09

Flash deals, as in only lasting for an hour or 2?
