Any codes to bring it down a little anyone?

Any opinions on CowBoom and their items being 'pre-owned'? Do they do anything to polish them up or 'refurbish' them? Any sort of warranty that automatically comes with items from their site?

This is the going rate now. I tried to resell a perfect condition one of these last month with all accessories, etc. for this price and couldn't even do that.

Plus, these have a tendancy to drain the battery to the point of not being able to charge them anymore so I'd skip it.

No apps, no future for the OS = no thanks.

yea sadly this tablet is awful and honestly it is hard as hell to root and put android on i tried to root my sisters many times and it just doesnt like to cooperate. The lack of apps is what kills this tablet even though you can "flash" some apps to it to make it a little better.

Is a great hardware (for the price) but so limited in what you can do with it.

I find it amusing as RIM's stocks prices fall so does the price of the playbook.. Seems they can't give them away and they can't pay developers enough to code any applications for them. If RIM was smart they should just start selling them as really expensive sock warmers.

they did try to sell these as really expensive sock warmers! RIM started selling these at $499, then $300, then $199, then...... cowboom!

I personally use one of these tablets daily for work and bought my wife one from cowboom last time. I have had an excellent experience with this tablet. The only downside is you can completely drain the battery making it difficult to charge. I have done this once with my tablet, but my wife's has never had this problem. Yes there is not a gazillion useless apps like apple/android, but it does have useful apps. Web browsing/email rocks, true multitasking, video chat.

I have this tablet to and it is alright for what I do reading e-mail and general browsing or e-books. The only video chat is native though so both people need to have playbooks. There is no skype on playbook.

16GB are being discontinued.
